I would like to personally thank STA Legal Counsel Henry Goldberg and his colleague at Moritt Hock & Hamroff, Robert Fryman, for the creation of the STA White Paper: Surviving Today’s Construction Contract Clauses. Mr. Goldberg & Mr. Fryman worked endless hours putting together this vital publication for STA members.

You can view the publication here.

The next step in the STA’s road to relieving the burden of onerous contract clauses on subcontractors will be a follow up event in the next six months that will provide guidance for that burning question – how do we negotiate these clauses with general contractors?

In the newsletter below, we have included a survey that lists the contract clauses covered in the White Paper and asks you to rank them in terms of importance. Our follow up event will focus on the clauses that you, our members, wish to hear more about.

Please take the time to complete the survey contained in the newsletter; we truly value your input and strive to make next Contract Clauses program even better that the first. If you forget to fill it out, don’t worry – the survey will also be sent by e-mail in the coming weeks. We will let all of you know the date, time & place of the follow-up event by August.

I wish all of our members, supporters and friends a healthy and safe summer season. I hope to see everyone at our fall general membership meeting on September 10.

Thank you,

Rob Weiss
